Saturday, November 12th - The Inner Tour -A film by Ra’anan Alexandrowicz, 2001

Follow a group of West Bank Palestinians on a three-day vacation bus tour of Israel, where many of those on the tour once lived and raised families.  Before the violent clashes and collapse of the peace talks in 2000, the tour was one of the few ways Palestinians could cross the Green Line and enter Israel. Screening followed by presentation and discussion with Nizar Mansour, Palestinian refugee and activist recently returned from Palestine.


Tuesday, November 15th - Soraida: Woman of Palestine - A film by Tahani Rached, 2004

This powerful documentary paints a subtly devastating portrait of a Palestinian woman named Soraida, who's living in Ramallah, trying to survive life under occupation and preserve her humanity in the midst of oppression.

A discussion of the psychological impacts of living under occupation with a particular focus on the impacts on women will follow the film.


Wednesday, November 16th - The Detainee -A film by Suheir Ismael

Follow the challenges and frustrations of a Palestinian wife and mother, isolated in her day to day existence and barred from visiting her husband, who's been held in an Israeli jail for seven years without being charged with any crime.   Sister of the filmmaker, Nuha Mousa, will speak on the role of Administrative Detention in the occupation as well as the role of prisoners in the struggle against the occupation.


Thursday, November 17th - Arna’s Children - A film by Juliano mer Khamis, 2004

Arna's Children reveals the tragedy and horror of everyday life on the battlefield for Palestinian children trapped by circumstance in the deadly Israeli-Palestinian conflict and the unflinching spirit of the woman who tries to help them find a way to cope.  Immediately after the invasion of Jenin, director Juliano Mer Khamis returns to the camp to discover what happened to the children who were students at his mother's theatre school. Presentation and discussion with Amin Odeh of Voices Of Palestine will follow screening.
