Marching for Freedom: Please join Palestine Solidarity Committee in marching for freedom for Native American political prisoner, Leonard Peltier, Saturday February 4, 2006 in Tacoma WA.
The Palestine Solidarity Committee recognizes that there are numerous struggles in need of our solidarity. Last year, PSC decided to make our involvement with the Leonard Peltier Support Group a priority. As an activist group that stands in solidarity with the indigenous people of Palestine as they struggle against a military occupation of their land, PSC is painfully aware of the physical, social and cultural destruction that occupation brings. Because we feel it is important for us to recognize the United States' continuing occupation of the land of North America's indigenous peoples we are taking action in solidarity with local Native American struggles for justice. While there are many ways to support indigenous rights, PSC is focusing our collective work in this area by participating in and encouraging turnout for the Leonard Peltier Defense Committee's march on Leonard's birthday in early February.
While this is a small step, it is one we
hope you will take with us.
